Disadvantages of Magazine Advertising

A business owner like yourself wants the best exposure for the baby being raised from the ground up. You may already advertise in traditional forms like magazines, newspapers, and bulletins. What if I told you there is a better way to utilize your resources and the option you are using is pretty much outdated? You’d reconsider your expenses and recourse your plan.

It is true that magazines catch the eyes of readers with its high visual quality and glossy finish, connects with a selective audience that reads the given magazine but compared to the disadvantages it isn’t worth the time and money spent.

Too much going on

Magazines are always getting bigger and will always be full of different content and advertisements. If you are looking to advertise in a niche-specific magazine, like home goods, there will be plenty of other businesses like yourself looking to be the focal point of the magazine. It is just too much competition for a person to pick your business when they need a product or service.

Audience

Magazines aren’t as broad as television or radio and aren’t as precise as our Supermarket Advertising, but most do have a niche market. Even then, you don’t know if your audience is even getting to your ad.

Cost Effectiveness

As a small business owner, your budget plays a big role in the long-term success of your business.  Magazines vary greatly based on its circulation and popularity and run for a specific timetable.

To get the most of your money you need an ad that is exclusive to your business, targets the right audience, and is the most cost-effective for a good return on investment. This is exactly what you get when you buy ad space on one of our brand bars in your local supermarket!

4 Reasons to Have Creative Business Cards

When networking with new potential clients it is better to build a genuine connection with them, rather than sending a mere email or two. The business card is one marketing tool you need to use in person. It is hard to compare to the benefits of having a creative business card given in person.

Here are four reasons why you should always carry your very own business cards at all times!

It is more personal than digital marketing.

If you really want to leave a lasting impression on a new client, there is nothing more personal than giving someone your card and saying, “please, give me a call some time”.

Engaging in real-time conversation and eye contact is how you build lasting relationships rather than artificial “business” only relationships.

Most effective direct marketing tool.

It is great to have email marketing, search engine optimization, and paid media, but you can do better! Yes, these digital options are good for attracting leads and prospects, yet they do not leave the same impact as an in-person exchange.

It is also the best for events or meetings. Sometimes you meet people on the fly and don’t have the time to actually write down a number or email. BOOM. Give a business card right into the hands of the person across from you.

It Is Often Used as a First Impression

When you meet someone that could be a potential client, you don’t want to leave them without any way of contacting you. Forcing an email upon them may come off as too strong of an approach. Leaving your connections with your business card is the most viable option for a business person.

Make a memorable first impression using creative business cards. You want your business card to fuel a conversation, not end your interaction. For this to happen you need a business card that stands out, you don’t want your business cards to be considered dull and cheap.

Great Business Cards are Susceptible to Word of Mouth

You are most likely to get referred to a friend through business cards than an email. A business card is a physical object that a client may leave with their friend. An email may not even be opened, and if it is, it most likely won’t be forwarded. On the other hand, a business card can easily be shown to another potential client through the recipient of the business card. Keep your options open and don’t corner your clients with a barrage of emails.

Need a new bunch of business cards? Let our graphic designers get creative with your brand image and shoot for the sky! Contact us today to get started!

3 Keys to a Strong Culture

For any business looking to keep a strong culture that lasts you need to get your team members to buy into it, and most importantly establish a culture YOU believe in. It starts with you creating a clear, consistent vision and how you want your business to be perceived by both workers and outsiders looking in.

At inMark, our leaders Franco Cabral and Marco Vitolo have done a fantastic job creating and maintaining our office culture. inMark Media has been built off of transparency, hard work ethic, and a fun, easy-going environment.

The following are some things inMark has been implementing in its growth.

  1. Transparency

At inMark, nothing is kept a secret between the managers and the staff. The goal is to build a sense of community and trust. Decisions are left to an open discussion so input from the employees can be used as ideas, advice, or feedback. This is important for all staff members because it can slow down office gossip, low morale, and unhappiness.

  1. Empower Your Employees

Empowering your employees is crucial to the workflow, especially when you want your employees to do the same or close to the same amount of work when you are not hawking over them.  So how do you empower people? Trust them with responsibility!

You empower people by not micromanaging, giving them general guidelines to allow them to work on their own. Contrary to the belief that people are less capable than the manager, freedom to work on projects will give them a sense of urgency and pride. Not many people will be ok with their name being tarnished because of their work. Trust your employees and they may do better than your expectations.

  1. Business and Personal Life

Yes, in a perfect world people will keep their personal life out of their business life. Sadly, we do not live in a perfect world. Your employees shouldn’t bring their personal issues to work, but sometimes it does happen and you shouldn’t condemn people for having feelings and issue that could happen to anyone.

Although you want everyone to have the same work-hard founder’s mentality as a business owner would have, you need to know that even your best worker needs time for themselves and their life. Let people take off a day if they need to, they’ll be back ready to work better once they have resolved their issue.

Why this kind of advertising is doing so well

You may be thinking to yourself, “I’ve been advertising in the same publications for so long and I don’t see a growth in business.” And it probably is true, you may not be getting the exposure you hoped to get. That is why you should really look into inMark’s Brand Bar.

The Brand Bar is inMark Media’s newly designed and innovative grocery store divider. This advertising tool brings guaranteed exposure to our client’s target markets. Want to target locally? There’s no better place to advertise than in your local supermarket.

If a customer is buying something, they’ll have to check out. While they’re waiting on the (usually long) check-out line, our brand bars will serve as the advertisement for our clients. inMark’s Brand Bars put a spin on the original dividers that separate one costumer’s groceries from another’s.

Dividers are one of the most utilized tools in supermarkets. Unlike other dividers, our Brand Bars feature a billboard-like double-sided advertisement that is three inches in height. It is attached to the typical divider and draws extra attention to advertisements.  It’s guaranteed to touch the hands of your potential clients!

On an average day, 32 million Americans go to supermarkets nationwide. During an average week, Americans shop at their local supermarkets 2-3 times per week. The constant traffic in most supermarkets nationwide allows for constant advertisement engagement.

Our supermarket advertising is exclusive. Whichever local supermarket your company’s advertisement is in, your competition’s will not be! Unlike other forms of media advertising, we care about our customers and care about their successes.

Our Brand Bar is supposed to grow your brand. It works like a snowball, catching traction and eventually giving you the results you want. Don’t expect to get a phone call the first day your ad is up, you’ll be greatly disappointed. The more times a person sees YOUR local business in THEIR local supermarket, the bigger the chance of them calling you when they need your service. It will be instilled in their head that you are a reputable business because of the constant exposure of your brand.

Growing Your Social Media Reach

With social media growing each day, it is only right we as users, grow with it. Regular people become brand influencers each day, learning how to manage their social media accounts with ease. Branding is social media’s most powerful tool and it is no secret that a social media presence is essential to keep your business relevant.

A small business trying to get known can use these tips to expand their reach on social media.

Follow those who matter

Unless you are Will Smith creating an Instagram, you won’t be able to just make an account and not put in any work for your followers. If you want a lot of people to see your social media messages, or to know your business exists, you’re going to have to put in some work.

Everyone knows the saying if a tree falls in the middle of the woods and no one is there to see it, did it even fall? Great content works the same way. Posting relatable, exciting, or attractive content won’t guarantee a return on an investment if your audience small. To increase your followers, you’ll want to enact strategic following. Strategic following basically means exactly what it says: strategically following certain accounts to attract followers.

Here’s how it’s done:

Danielle runs a local Gym. She just started up her business’ Twitter and Instagram accounts, and she really wants to begin a social media giveaway campaign to promote her new gym location. But, she only has 10 followers.

To strategically follow, Jane should check out other gyms, fitness, and nutrition pages in her area, go to their followers and follow accounts she believes would enjoy her content.

These are great starting points for any business to build up their following. If you don’t have a brick-and-mortar store and are not worried about the locality in terms of your followers, you can search and follow by hashtags too. Danielle might look up a hashtag like “#localgym” and follow some accounts that are posting with that hashtag.

Tag it up

Speaking of hashtags, they’re great tools your business can use to boost your social media reach, too.

Each post should contain at least 15 hashtags. Hashtags can either be specific to each post or specific to your entire account. Groups of hashtags don’t take long to compose and are an extremely beneficial tool to enhance your accounts. Write out a couple hashtag combinations in the notes app on your phone for safe keeping. Then, when you’re ready to use them, copy and paste them to your posts with ease.

Let’s take the gym example again, if you’re posting about a new yoga class you’re about to offer, you may want to hashtag words like “#yoga #yogaclass #yogamoves” etc.

Less is more

When composing hashtags to add to your posts, try to think of words and phrases that people will actually search. #yogaformewhenIambored will probably never be searched. Don’t waste time composing overly complicated and long hashtags.

In the same respect, make sure your hashtags are relevant. People want to see what they’re searching for. Don’t post #dumbells for a picture of your yoga class—it’s confusing and frustrating to users.

Interaction for a reaction

Simply posting content just won’t cut it. Although traffic is continually growing on all social media sites, so is the competition.

To stand out among the masses, you’re going to need something a little extra than good posts and hashtags.

Instagram stories are a great way to gauge and increase your following. They also help you engage more with your followers: you can post polls or questions on your stories that your followers can answer directly.

It’s important to interact with who you follow, too. If you have new followers, follow them back, like their pictures, and comment something insightful and specific. It’s usually pretty obvious when a company just copy and pastes the same “Great post!” comment.

Reach out

If you’re ready to grow your social media presence and reach, but you’re uncertain that you fully understand social media platforms and their benefits, reach out to a company who does.

At inMark Media we have an extensive strategic planning for each of our clients and work hard to grow your brand awareness.

Focusing Too Much on Work?

You may have clicked on this post because you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with your life, or maybe you wanted to know out of curiosity how to balance different aspects of your life. Having an actual life aside from your busy work schedule is hard to manage. You spend most of your time at work, and after work, you need time for everything else you need to get done! So how do you balance your friends, family, AND work?

Let’s take a look at some ways you can find a nice balance between everything that is important in your life.

Plan It!

Planning your day or even your week is crucial to know exactly what you want to accomplish. Do this to focus on your priorities and everything else you want to get done, like hanging with your parents, seeing a friend, or getting some extra work done. When you have a lot on your plate it is important to know what you are doing with your time.

If you work a 9-5, you want to go to the gym, hang out with your friends, and still have time for your family then you must plan accordingly. You may want to go to the gym after work (if you’re not an early bird) and watch a movie with your mom when you’re done. Plan a date to hang out with your friends a few days in advance to assure that you have made the time. Whatever you decide to do with your time, make sure you have a plan.

Appreciation

Sometimes there is no time for anyone but yourself, and that is ok. As you grow and become more of an adult, you find it harder to make time for the people you care for. Reaching out to your loved ones in one way or another can really make their day. Next time you are in between your responsibilities try calling a friend or a family member and let them know that you care for them. You never know when the last time you will get to see someone will be.

Take A Step Back

Going through life we forget the most important thing… ourselves. We live our lives focused on the wrong things and we don’t even have time for ourselves. This is when you take a step back and refocus yourself. Depending on your values, friends and family may be important or just getting paid,  but remember YOU are your biggest priority.

We hope you got useful tips out of this post! Please leave a comment below and let us know how you go about balancing your life!

Highlight of the Week: Website Design

Ask yourself, on average, how long do you last your first time on a website? Probably not long, unless of course, the website caught your attention!

As a business owner, you need to be sure your website is not chasing people away from your products or services. Rather, you want it to capture an experience or tell a story that will have the visitor curious for more. This will only work if your website looks professional AND is responsive.

If your website is out of date, chances are it is slow to load up. People nowadays have no patience for anything slow. Your website won’t garner any attraction if people have to wait 10 seconds for it to fully load up.

With inMark Media, you have the options to have as many or as little pages as you need. The option of providing your own copy, or having our copywriter tailor pages just for you. Even a custom logo if you have yet to create one!

We pay attention to the details that matter, especially when including the utilization of CMS, adapting to any screen, and even e-commerce responsive features if they are needed.

So next time you are thinking of your website, have a checklist.

Does it load fast?

Is it responsive?

Does it adapt to any screen?

How is the SEO in your copy?

Give us a holler and we’ll come up with the right package for you to get your business up and running. Contact us at 844-inMark-1 or talk directly with a sales representative at inMark.

The 60/30/10 Rule

As a business owner new to social media, you may be wondering what you should be posting. There is no true, correct, answer to this question. But, there is a technique most social media marketers gravitate towards to maximize their impact on social media.

60/30/10 Rule

This is a rule that is based on leveraging engaging content, sharing information, and promoting products and services. Involved social media users will typically post about 10 to 14 times a week depending on the platform being used, so it may be difficult to keep up with content and especially original content.

This means 60% of the posts should be engaging content that people can react to, comment, and share. 30% should be content you share from other pages or simply useful tips for your users. The last 10% is where you promote your own business with promotions and products. You don’t want to overcrowd your page or other users’ timelines with your business. Sadly, people don’t want that.

The 60%

When people see your name on their newsfeed or timeline you want them to have a positive initial reaction to your posts. Trying to sell something every post will get old quick to the average user. Most of your content should be engaging your followers and baiting a reaction to someone leaving a comment, question, or sharing it with their followers. Posting useful tips pertaining to your target audience is a good way to generate some likes, comments, and shares. A couple of ideas for engaging content is starting a poll to garner interactions or hosting a hashtag contest to gain awareness for prizes. This will leave a lasting impact on your brand. So, the next time you DO post promotional content people will look forward to your name.

The 30%

Ever heard of the golden rule? Treat people the way you want to be treated. Share and be shared. Promoting or shouting out other businesses or pages will help you in the long run. Like being a fitness page that posts it’s favorite protein products. You never know, maybe that page you share will end up shouting you out or even better, working with you.

The 10%

Lastly, 10% of what you post should be promotions and information on products or services. You may be wondering why the least percentage of your posts should be self-promotion. This is because social media was not made to be a never-ending billboard. It is supposed to be social, like

“Oh, ___ has a nice sale today!”

not,

“Ugh, again?”

Flooding the timeline with your promotions will diminish the importance of each post, the less you post about it, and the more value you add to each specific post. Remember, social media is about building your brand, not selling it. The better your brand, the less work you have to put in to make those sales, people will just gravitate to your posts.

Workout in the Office!

Working a 9 to 5 can really drain your energy. You already spend about 3 quarters of your day sitting and sleeping. Commuting to work either in your car or a bus or train, sitting the whole day at work, and then coming home to a couch or a bed. You need some exercise to get your blood flowing and your calories burning!

You may be putting on a few extra pounds and few extra pounds can turn into a lot of weight quick. What if there was a way to workout at the place you spend most of your day? You’ve definitely come to the right spot as I will be giving you some workouts and stretches you can do right in your office! That’s right, burn a few calories while you’re at work. Making a slight change in your daily habits and sweating a little more will go a long way in your overall health.

Stretching While Working

Let’s begin with some stretches because this is the most vital part of any exercise.

1. Neck Rolls

In your seat, straighten yourself and drop your right ear to your right shoulder and hold for a few seconds. Repeat for the other side.

2. The sky is the limit

Interlock your fingers and raise them up towards the ceiling as high as you can. Face your palms upwards to feel it more.

3. Break Your Neck

Turn your head to either side and try to look over your shoulder holding it for a few seconds.

4. Bobblehead

Drop your chin towards your chest and gently roll your head from side to side.

5. Shrugs

Raise both shoulders up towards your ears and hold for a few seconds.

Exercises at Work

You may have to speak with your manager or boss to see if you can take a few minutes to do a couple of these workouts. Even if you decide to do them right before lunch!

1. Walk/Jog/Run in place

3 to 5 sets of 30-45 seconds. Choose the pace that is best for you and you can even add high knee raises to bring a bigger challenge. Just get up from your chair and start it!

2. Push- Ups

Get to it and don’t worry about being on the floor. Your health is more important than your pride. Shoot for 10 reps 3 times.

3. Squats

It is a simple as standing up from your chair, sitting back down, and repeating 10 more times.

4. Calf Raises

Stand behind your chair or desk and hold on for support. Raise your heels off the floor until you are standing on your toes and slowly lower yourself back to the floor. Do this for 3 sets of 10.

5. Shoulder Press

(My personal favorite) Find a somewhat heavy phone book or something of that sort and hold it at shoulder height, to then raise it all the way over your head. Do 10 reps, 3 times.

Now, I obviously can’t force exercise upon you, but if you did get through this post you have to be somewhat interested in office workouts. For some more workouts to do at your desk visit this page. Try to get your team involved! You’ll be helping others get active as well!

inMark Media’s Culture

Working a typical 9 to 5 will get very repetitive and dull. Waking up every morning to rush to work, driving through traffic, and dealing with those coworkers, who are just that, coworkers. Working at inMark Media is completely different! All of the employees are extremely friendly and easy going, with that “we are a family” mentality.

Like-Minded People:

Like-minded uplifting coworkers is what you should gravitate to. These are the kind of people you need to surround yourself to grow and chase your own dreams.

Working with so many likeminded positive people will change those coworkers to friends that you work with. This makes everything you do just that much enjoyable.

Management:

It all starts from the top. Franco and Marco, our CEO and COO respectively, are both putting in efforts to instill that kind of culture in the workplace. Hiring like-minded people is very difficult, you don’t actually know a person until you hire them, anything before could be a bluff. After you hire the right people maintaining the culture should be a little easier. Franco and Marco instilled a sense of family, everything is so transparent with open door policies, team trips, and daily huddles. Everyone is always in communication in our group chat and pushing others to be the best versions of themselves each day.

Once Marco and Franco have instilled the culture they want, it is up to everyone else to buy into the culture to set it in stone. That is exactly what has happened. Your coworkers at inMark Media, strive to be the best versions of themselves while encouraging others to do the same. Whether it is going to the gym before or after work, denying the pizza from the new guy who has yet to learn the healthy lifestyle, or even a simple text of appreciation, at inMark Media we always grow as a family.

Everyone here brings something to the table, and transparency allows for everyone to get a say. Important decisions or “let’s have some fun” ideas go a long way when you have a team of like-minded people working to bring out the best in each other and inMark. Highlight of the Week: Brand Bars

As an advertising company and a media agency, inMark has many products and services to choose from. There is something for every business looking to become known in their local community.

With a patented idea becoming the backbone of our running business, our Brand Bars deserve this week’s highlight of the week.

Specs:

With a 16 x 3 inch billboard of advertising space on both sides, it is the ideal size for grocery lane belts. A customized Brand Bar makes it a pleasing sight to see while people wait on line, and it is light enough to be moved around with no problem.

What The Supermarket Gains:

The supermarket gains just as much from the Brand Bar as the business using the advertising space. By adding Brand Bars to your supermarket chain, it will instantly enhance the aesthetic of your lane belt. It will also create a better experience for your customers. Our billboards aren’t overwhelming and catch the eyes of people nearby.

Our nifty brand bars offer in-store messaging for your chain and provide local sponsorship that guarantees passive revenue and engagement from your local market.

What The Advertisers Gain:

The advertisers gain a platform. The most centralized location in their community, and repeated exposure. Shoppers go to the supermarket 2-3 times a week and for 30-40 minutes on average. With constant exposure to shoppers, a business advertising on our Brand Bars will see a long lasting growth in their brand name. People will recognize them outside of the supermarket, and once the service or product is needed, be assured that shoppers will contact the named business.

What The Shoppers Gain:

Waiting in line can be tedious and boring for shoppers, especially if it is a long line. Shoppers tend to look around for things to grab their attention, and the Brand Bar does just that. With an aesthetic to catch eyes, and useful advertisements of local businesses the shoppers don’t lose anything and gain everything.

A Few Tips on Catching Millennials’ Attention

Social media is always evolving with the likes of millennials in mind. The growth of Snapchat and Instagram filters in the past year has been crucial to the advancement of ways to upload photos and videos. And sequentially has been a new way to target and interact with these users.

So as a business owner, how do you use these updates to your advantage? Well, I will be giving you 3 tips on how to catch the attention of millennials and other users on these platforms.

1. Using Augmented Reality

Let’s start off with what augmented reality is. According to reality technologies, augmented reality is an enhanced version of reality where live direct or indirect views of physical real-world environments are augmented with superimposed computer-generated images over a user’s view of the real world, enhancing one’s current perception of reality.

Snapchat started this trend with its filters and Instagram shortly followed. These filters afford the users an opportunity to enhance their photos and videos with cute, scary, and funny filters. You are probably aware of the infamous dog filter, adding dog ears to the user(s) and once it senses an opening of the mouth, the filter adds a licking tongue with a “slurp” sound.

These filters give millennials a lot of freedom to play with when uploading their content. Using the current trending filters is a great way to reach these users right in their favorite app.

2. Live Videos

Just like the fascination with AR, millennials are just as fascinated with the idea of live videos. People want to see what is going on at the very moment.

The art of the live video is a relatively new concept to social media. Master this, and you’ll have people tuning in left and right to see what you are up to. Then, you have to keep them on your live video with engaging, informative content, or simply just capturing a specific moment in time.

Promoting a time when people should tune in is also a good way to generate traffic. Although, if you choose to promote your live video, be sure to have content worth tuning in for! Your reputation can easily be tarnished because of unfulfilling or boring content.

3. Make It Simple

Nowadays millennials are so used to having everything quick and simple. Want some new clothes? Order them straight to your door. Want to contact a company? Skip the headache of a phone call and chat with a bot.

Making your business easily accessible to people with questions, comments, and concerns will go a long way when building up your brand. Being known as the business that doesn’t give anyone trouble will be sure to bring you clients through word of mouth.

People don’t care if they are speaking with an actual representative or a bot, as long as it gets them what they want with no headache. Entitlement is a blessing and a curse for millennials and you have to know how to handle it.

Traits to Hire For A Start Up

Building up a startup requires a lot of work from yourself and your employees. Picking the right employees is where it starts. Having a team that you can rely on and spend your time being productive in other ways than babysitting, is a good way to start.

So what traits should you be looking for?

Well first off, you want your employees to be self-starters. Individuals that can get going without a clear outline or a babysitter, are always beneficial to any business. People who can actually finish what they start without you watching over their ever room is a must. Self-starters can even think of new innovative ideas for your growing company, the more the merrier.

Clear thinkers are those who can unclutter their mind with the daily tasks that need to be done, and regular emotions an employee deals within their personal lives.

Uncluttered thinking is always about being able to figure out the two-three things that matter in any situation, and equally importantly, being able to ignore the less important variables irrespective of how much noise others may raise about them. Ultimately, being able to filter out the unnecessary.

Nothing is worse for a business than a team of self-doubters. When looking for employees, try to pick out those that are self-aware. Being that a business runs like a cog, and needs every piece to run smoothly for it to be successful, having a team of self-doubters will essentially delay your success. Self-doubters won’t trust their instincts, ask questions when it’s too late, and bring down others with them.

Team players are an essential part of your team! These are the employees you like to have because they set the standards high, can handle constructive criticism, and provide feedback. They do everything to the best of their abilities and don’t worry too much about who gets the credit, as long as it done.

Look for candidates with these traits to propel your business from a startup to a growing business with a growing team!

Theory of Diffusion of Innovation Explained

Great! You have a new product that you think will change the world, now how do you market it?

Marketing a new product requires precise planning, promotion, and more. Effectively marketing your product will lead to a longer product lifecycle.

The theory of diffusions of innovations tries to explain why a population will adopt a new product at different times.  To understand how your small business can use this theory to master the launch of a product, let’s look at what the theory says:

When an innovating product hits the market, it will have a distinct product lifecycle. The speed of adoption among users and consumers will basically determine the length and extremity of a product’s lifecycle.

The theory suggests there are five main groups of adopters in a population. Below is a brief description of each group of adopters for an innovating product:

  • Innovators: These are the first people to take a risk and accept your product. They are usually highly sociable people who have not only a lot of influence on a population, but enough financial stability to take risks. These prominent social leaders will have a large influence on the community.

  • Early Adopters:  These people are usually the opinion leaders in their communities. They may have a lot to say on Facebook and Twitter or they may just simply be a “people-person.” They are also pretty financially stable but are more discreet about their adoptions than innovators.

  • Early Majority: The early and late majority groups are where most of a population will lay.  In particular, the early majority group adopts an innovation quite some time (depending on the product) after the first two groups. They don’t have positions of opinion leaders in their communities but do have higher social statuses.

  • Late Majority: These people are a lot more stubborn than the early majority and will typically wait until they are certain that there are benefits from this new product to adopt it. This group will wait until a majority of the community has adopted the product before they themselves skeptically adopt it.

  • Laggards: This last group of innovation adopters tend to have lower social status, low financial stability, are usually older in age, and only really in contact with family and close friends.  These people may adopt the product but may also never adopt the product.

To successfully strategize using this model, it’s important to understand your product and what sections of your community (age, location, gender, etc.) will fall under each of these categories. Each group of adopters should be targeted in a different way.

How to use it?

Sure, this model has a lot to do with new tech products, but it can be used in just about any industry.

For a moment, pretend you run a new business that sells protein powders and supplements. You believe your product is much different than other protein powders, so you consider it an innovation. Let’s look at how you can reach each of these groups through your different communication channels:

  • Innovators: Bring the product to fitness expos. Reach out to athletic influencers on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and send them a free product in exchange for a shout-out.

  • Early Adopters: Offer a discount code to Early Adopters that they can give to their followers in exchange for a small commission. Discount codes increase your sales and create loyal costumers.

  • Early Majority: Your work with the above two groups will hopefully aid the attraction of this group. But, in the case that this is not occurring, try Instagram and Facebook ads and promotion, create a blog section on your website, post recipes and how-to’s on your social media.

  • Late Majority: As we said, this group is very skeptical, so testimonials and reviews will be very beneficial in attracting this group. Ask customers to leave reviews on websites like Yelp! to help attract this group.

  • Laggards: This group is not really worth extreme investment unless by chance you think trying to attract them is extremely beneficial. This group is this stubborn, so marketing to them will be wasted time.

This type of marketing strategy, where you essentially create 4-5 different strategies for one product, will be most beneficial if your product is an innovation. If your company launches many new products throughout the year, this type of strategy may not be as practical time-wise.

Where You Should Be Advertising

With multiple stores going out of business because of corporations like Amazon, and other online shopping sites, it is getting harder to advertise in stores that people don’t visit. So as a business owner, where do you advertise, other than online, newspapers, or tv?

There are three businesses that people will always have to visit physically. Laundromats, barbershops/salons, and last, but not least, SUPERMARKETS. Supermarkets are the key to advertising to your local audience! Especially with our Brand Bars, shoppers will have to touch your ads. They can’t just skip the ad, change the channel, or throw it out.

Advertising in a supermarket will get you a better chance at being noticed. People who go to the supermarket, don’t go just once. Shoppers tend to go 2-3 times a week! That is a lot of exposure, rather than the 5 seconds they may see it in other forms of advertising.

To fully take advantage of Supermarket Advertising, you should have your ad in effect for at least 6 months to a year. This is for branding, chances are you won’t get a client the first time they see your ad. The way you get clients is by being the most recognized. The more shoppers that see your ad, the more they will think of your brand when a problem in your field occurs. So, next time they do need your service they know exactly who to call.

A business owner looking to grow their brand within their community, advertising in their local supermarket is a no-brainer. That is the best way to reach your target audience because of the number of people who grocery shop.

That is what you get when you advertise with inMark, repeated exposure to the right audience.

Exposure:

If people don’t see your ad, you are basically flushing money down the toilet. With our brand bars, people will always be exposed to your ad, and for more than 5 seconds.

Repetition:

With repetitive exposure, people will be unconsciously thinking about your business whenever there is a need for your product or service.

Precise Targeting:

Now that your ad is repeatedly exposed, it is about who you are targeting. With other ads like a newspaper or a TV ad, you can’t really pinpoint who you are targetting. If you are a small local business, then you need local advertising. And the local supermarket is the best place to do so!
