Benefits of Getting Enough Sleep

You may think you are getting enough sleep with 6 hours a night, maybe less. You probably think you’re built for that lifestyle. Honestly, you are not. In rare occasions, some people can function the same with 5-6 hours of sleep. Most people do need 7-8 hours of sleep each night. The benefits of getting enough sleep will begin to show in your every day productivity and life. Ranging from your health, to mood, and even your sex life. You may want to think twice about staying up an hour or two later than you are supposed to.

1. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Your Mood!

Sleeping less will directly effect your next day! It can ultimately ruin your day as it effects your mood and increases your level of stress. Repeatedly getting insufficient sleep can cause symptoms of depression, lower self esteem, and more anxiety. Sleep deprivation has more of an effect on your mood than anything else, so think about how you want your day to go. It starts the night before when you are deciding to sleep early, or binge watching that Netflix series.

2. Improves Your Sex Life

Libido is defined as sexual desire. The less sleep one gets will lower their libido as well as increasing sexual problems. When you are sleeping your body is recovering, whether it be your muscles recovering from a work out, your metabolism working hard, or your testosterone levels, which boosts sexual drive for both men and women.

3. Mental Capabilities

Sleep deprivation effects everything about you and your mental functionality especially. Getting sufficient sleep will help you with short term memory, for adults and children. Sleep deprivation impairs your ability to learn and grasp things in your head. You may notice that when you are not fully rested it is harder to focus on anything. From people talking to you to even driving. Driving with little to no sleep is basically the same thing as driving under the influence. Drowsy driving is responsible for 100,000 crashes and 1,500 deaths every year.

4. Your Overall Health

Getting enough sleep will help prevent petty sicknesses like the common cold! When your immune system is strong and you are well rested, it will be harder for little viruses to get through.  This saves you time and money in the long run. Those spending all their time awake are more inclined to getting sick and being under the weather.

At the end of the day, sleep is your decision if you don’t suffer from any sleep depriving illness, like insomnia. You should sleep at least seven to nine hours and you’ll reap the benefits of resting your body. The same way you charge your phone is the same way you should rest your body!

Its All About Perspective!

The power of YOUR mind cannot be overlooked. You have the power to project your mindset onto the world. There are always at least two perspectives you perceive every second of every day. Did you wake up happy that you woke up this morning, or dreading that you had to make it to work on time?

“Everyday may not be good, but there is something good in every day”

The ability to see the positive when something goes wrong or when things aren’t going your way will help you be that much happier, no matter the circumstances. A closed door makes room to open new ones.

It is easier to be negative than to be positive, the latter is harder to come across. For every positive person you may find, there are 10 negative ones (I just made up a number, but you get my point). Being a negative Nancy is the easiest thing to do, blaming everything on outside factors, putting your head down rather than lifting it up, and being mean and angry in a world where that is the norm.

BE DIFFERENT.

Be nice to people, smile more, and think about how blessed you are. Even at your lowest, someone is doing worse. Use your energy to get out of a hole and quit digging yourself a bigger one!

Getting More Customers Through Guaranteed Ad Exposure

Supermarket Brand Bar

The Brand Bar is inMark Media’s newly designed and innovative grocery store divider. This advertising tool brings guaranteed exposure to our client’s target markets. Want to target locally? There’s no better place to advertise than in your local supermarket.

If a customer is buying something, they’ll have to check out. While they’re waiting on the (usually long) check-out line, our brand bars will serve as an advertisement for our clients. inMark’s Brand Bars put a spin on the original dividers that separate one costumer’s groceries from another’s.

Dividers are one of the most utilized tools in supermarkets. Unlike other dividers, our Brand Bars feature a billboard-like double-sided advertisement that is three inches in height. It is attached to the typical divider and draws extra attention to advertisements.  It’s guaranteed to touch the hand’s of your potential clients!

On an average day, 32 million Americans go to supermarkets nationwide. During an average week, Americans shop at their local supermarkets 2-3 times per week. The constant traffic in most supermarkets nationwide allows for constant advertisement engagement.

Our supermarket advertising is exclusive. Whichever local supermarket your company’s advertisement is in, your competition’s will not be! Unlike other forms of media advertising, we care about our customers and care about their successes.

Why Having a Website is Important For Your Small Business

No website means lost business. Over 2 billion people across the world use the internet, and 70 percent of them use it every day. Still, some small businesses are failing to raise their sales with one simple fix: a website.

               Credibility:

More people are using the internet than ever before. An average of over 3 billion searches is processed on Google every day.  Of those searches, over 50 percent are shoppers. That means your market is searching for products and services online, and if your business doesn’t have a website, they won’t know about your business. A professionally designed website is as important as having one in the first place. It helps brand your company and create an improved reputation.

Affordability:

Companies will waste thousands of dollars marketing their business in out-of-date brochures and newspaper advertisements instead of investing their time in a professional website. Not a website guru? No problem. There are extremely affordable companies that will create one for you.

One of your first impressions:

Even if your first connection with a client is in person, that person will most likely look up your website as soon as you leave—whether you know it or not. If you don’t have a website, you have a high chance of losing that customer.

Accessibility:

Websites are open 24 hours a day. There’s no closing the store or locking doors. When you have a website, your costumers have access to your business from any location at any time. You’re giving your current and potential customers the ability to review your products, services, and business at their own convenience.

You can boast:

When you’re relying on word of mouth to sell your company, you’re trusting that those words are positive. That isn’t always the truth. When you have a website, you’re your own advocate. That means boasting is a given, and it’s even recommended. Show yourself off and take pride in your work.

Keep customers up to date:

Websites are the perfect platform to keep your customers in the loop. You can use it as a blog, or to update your future and current customers about new products, offers, events or other content.

On average, 139,344 new websites go live each day. Don’t miss out on one of the easiest ways to market and brand your company.

You Should Care About Self Care

One of the biggest weaknesses that people have can be so detrimental that it can greatly affect not only your productivity but also your work ethic. This weakness affects several different companies and employees, regardless of their title. Whether you are an intern or a CEO, failure to pay attention to this can affect your health, so make sure you take notes! That weakness is the failure to practice effective self-care.

Self-care is the act of taking time out of your day to evaluate your mental and emotional status. If you are displeased with your status, you then perform tasks that will improve your status to get where you want to be. While it is noble to put everything else before yourself, not practicing self-care can counter the work you do. The truth is that if you do not think or feel well, you are not going to perform well.

But life doesn’t always allow people to have the free time necessary to practice self-care on a regular basis. So how can you practice self-care in the office without spending a lot of time on it? Here are just a few ways to practice self-care in a realistic, yet fun way:

1) Prepare a ‘Feel Good’ Playlist

If you like music, something as simple as having a playlist comprised of the songs that bring you the most joy can be a great way to practice self-care. Use the playlist on your way to and from work, or if your company allows it, while you are at your desk. Try to limit how often you listen to it so it can be more effective when you need a pick me up.

2) The Hands-On Approach

If you are the type of person that likes to do handy work or create, store some putty or play-doh in your office space! In-between email responses, roll it around, bounce it, and make mini snakes. Even focusing on the putty or play-doh for 5 minutes can easily clear your mind and bring you joy.

3) Bring Your Favorites

If you have a particular interest in food, treat yourself to your favorites for lunch or snacks. This will give you something to look forward to! Things like tea are especially great to use because they can also calm and soothe as you take care of yourself.

4) Eat Lunch Outside

Should the weather permit it, eating outside can bring great calm to someone’s day? If you are outdoorsy, this will especially be good for you to practice without sacrificing anything from your work schedule. If you really want to disconnect, even for just a moment, avoid bringing your phone. Take the time to eat and walk around or talk to someone you’ve wanted to get to know better.

5) Jump Around

Yes we know what you’re thinking, and no, we don’t mean the song (although if you like it, refer to #1). If you’re the type of person that likes physical activity, take 5 minutes to walk around the building, spin around in your chair, do jumping jacks, or do push-ups. As silly as it may feel, doing physical activity has been proven to increase focus and energy throughout the day.

If you can take at least an hour of your day where you do things that make you feel good, by all means, take advantage of that time. However, not everyone has an hour in the day. Some don’t even have ten minutes. If you are one of the people who fall in the latter category, practice small things throughout the day to balance stress levels. By doing this, you are more likely to feel better and therefore perform better.

Create New Possibilities

When you wake up in the morning, even if the day is looking dull, step out of bed with a positive attitude. Think of it as your happy cloak, spreading optimism through your thoughts, even if things aren’t going your way. The trick is to make the best of whatever situation life throws at you.

“Some days you just have to create your own sunshine”

Find the delight in your day by creating your own positive outlook on life. If it is raining, think about the grass that needs water. If it is snowing, think about the millions of people who never experience it. Whatever your day brings you, there is always some good you can take from it.

There is a rainbow waiting at the end of a thunderstorm. Be positive and it will pour into your whole day, you’ll be that much happier, and waking up in the morning won’t be as much of a dread.

One way to create your own sunshine is appreciating the little things, like the fact that you woke up this morning, or that you are able to read this post! Whatever you can think of, be grateful. It does a lot for your attitude when you know that you are blessed with the things you currently have in your life!

Start by writing down a few things you are grateful for and carry it with you for the times that you forget you are blessed!

Businesses that benefit the most from Supermarket Advertising

Advertising for your business can be daunting because there are so many options. In addition to print, you have the rise and dominance of the digital and social world. So with an infinite amount of options -and a not so infinite amount of money- the pressure to choose the right option is high.

However, if you have a small to medium-sized business, the struggle to make a decision is over! As mentioned on several other blogs- both on this website and others- supermarket advertising is a prime method for reaching the attention of potential clients in the local community. Most supermarkets average 15,000 to 30,000 shoppers each week with 2-3 visits per family per week. In addition to being the most frequently visited location in your neighborhood; the supermarket is a platform that allows for different kinds of advertising space, adding variety to how your target market recognizes your business. Because communities are so closely connected to grocery stores, they are the ideal places for targeted, direct advertising.

But let’s break it down even further. Since no two business industries are alike, we have narrowed down the top five types of businesses that benefit the most from supermarket advertising.

Law Offices

When people need a lawyer, they’re usually looking for someone nearby. In addition to this, people want someone who they can trust and will be approachable. Advertising in the supermarket not only shows how local your services are but sends a message to potential clients that you are willing to reach them where they are, thereby building trust.

Real Estate

Because most real estate agents establish a client base through word of mouth, the need to build and retain a reputation in the local community is extremely important. Start at the base of that community with your local supermarket.

Medical Services

When people are seeking medical services, they are not likely to travel extensively. This is because the nature of medical services is often in response to something that is happening to the patient in real time. Beat out your competition by placing your ad somewhere where the patient frequently visits and is sure to notice on a weekly basis.

Insurance Agents

Insurance companies are most appealing to the household’s primary decision maker, who is also the most likely to take charge of grocery shopping. Meet your audience where they visit the most!

Auto Dealerships

Auto Dealerships depend on repetition and visibility. The supermarket is the perfect place for both of these things since it is the community go-to and shoppers go to the store 2-3 times a week.

Supermarket advertising builds brand recognition through repetition, visibility, and location. Being seen, seen often and seen by the right people are vital in creating clout for your business, especially within the local community. For more information on the types of products, we offer to visit our supermarket page.

Which Social Media Platform is Right for me?

Social Media is the new frontier in the world of communication. The amount of people that use it combined with the ability to connect people to original content is invaluable to businesses. Yet, despite its high value, the use of some of the most popular platforms are free! If harnessed strategically, businesses can gain major brand exposure, increase client base, and expand upon customer service.

But the sheer amount of platforms offered can be daunting for the business owner. Which platform is the right one for me? Which platform will coincide with our mission the best?

Ultimately, in order to pick the best platform for your business, you need to understand your target market. Who are you trying to sell your product or services to? Each platform has a specific age group that follows it the most.  Understanding your target market will expedite the social media strategy process.

Facebook

If your target market is between the ages of 18-24, you may want to consider a different platform. The truth is, Facebook has shifted to an older crown, specifically, ages 25-54. It is often used for networking and keeping in touch with long-distance friends or family. Because of how viral Facebook became, older crowds began to utilize it. Soon, millennials demanded a platform that was strictly visual and quick to look through as Facebook had expanded its activities and functions. So once these ‘strictly visual’ platforms emerged, the younger demographic shifted to using those and used Facebook less frequently. However, that is not to say that the platform is not useful for exposure. In fact, 44% of the 25-54 year old demographic will check their Facebook more than once a day.

Instagram

Instagram is the best platform to use if you want to reach a target market of ages 35 and under. It is mainly used for visual storytelling and short video creation, as well as sharing with a network of followers. However, considering that the platform currently has 600 million users, having a strong understanding of what makes good visual content is important. In other words, if your business doesn’t have an appeal that can be portrayed visually, Instagram may not be your best choice.

Pinterest

Female-focused companies will do very well on Pinterest. With a staggering 42% of online women being Pinterest users, a wide demographic of women can be reached through this platform. If your company specializes in events, good, home decor, beauty, or anything that can depict beautiful images, you should highly consider creating an account. What is great about Pinterest is that clients can easily purchase products through a purchase button.

When used for the correct target market, each of these platforms can provide large benefits for your business!

Fear Shouldn’t Stop You From Winning!

How to Let Go of Fear and Start Trusting the Process

A motivated, determined mindset at the beginning of an exciting new journey is typical. You’re about to change your life, what is there not to be excited about? But, with instant gratification so readily expected, many people fall off when it is not received. However, many of our goals are long-term and therefore will require a long-term effort.  Let go of your fears and start trusting the process.

  • Meditate

Regardless of what your goal is, meditation will help you get rid of your anxieties, live in the moment, and put your trust in the process. The pains and fears you may experience throughout the process may seem detrimental, but that’s usually a conclusion of your mind. “The greater part of human pain is unnecessary. It is self-created as long as the unobserved mind runs your life”-Eckhart Tolle. Meditation will fix your perspective so those detrimental moments will appear a lot less harmful.

  • Ask for help

You may be working on your own consciousness or goals, but that doesn’t mean you can’t talk to other people. If you’re struggling with your goals, whether professionally, personally, mentally or physically, you must reach out for help when you need it. It will help you through tough times that are confusing and overwhelming. Become the beginner. Let go of old habits early in the process.

  • Stop doubting

Self-doubt is the enemy to progress. It eats away at your goals and harms your progress. That’s obvious though. How do you fix it? Well, you can’t just switch it off. But, when you notice yourself doubting your progress, your patience, your path, stop yourself and think positively. If you practice this continuously, you’ll eventually create a habit of positive thinking.

  • Experience what frightens you

No, you don’t have to go on a haunted hayride or sit in front of a taunting clown. But you do have to put yourself out of your comfort zone. Don’t let your fears and anxieties of what people will think, what will happen, or what your parents are going to say stop you from reaching for what you want. Most of those made up situations are just that—made up. If you teach yourself to push past those anxieties, regardless of their presence, you’ll experience greater progress.

  • Fall in love with the unknown

This is the best part. The process is an undefined path—you really don’t know where it’ll take you. You may have an idea of where you want it to go (maybe you’re trying to lose 10 pounds or tone up your physique.) But, the little victories along the way may change your goal completely. Maybe you lost 5 pounds of fat, but now you want to add some muscle mass, so you gain back that 5 pounds. If you asked yourself at the beginning of the process, regaining weight would’ve mortified you. But, you trusted the process, fell in love with the unknown, and are continuing to trust the process again. It’s a never-ending cycle of progress.

  • Remember fear will arise and dissipate again and again.

Fear happens. We are human. The emotions that arise naturally are a product of our chemical brain makeup. But, what can change is how we react to those emotions. When you get fearful of where something is heading, remember that those anxieties are just a fabrication of your thoughts. Instead, think about what you can be thankful for presently, and those fearful thoughts will subside.

  • Flexibility

Obviously, we all need a plan. A process wouldn’t even begin if there was no plan to make the process happen. But, when we’re faced with situations you didn’t think would happen, you need to make sure that you react in a proper way. Let’s take working out for example. You have this great plan to get into shape. Maybe you go to the gym 5 days a week, eat healthily, and see adequate results. But, you begin to feel a pain in your hamstring. You either ignore the pain and stick to your plan (and most likely hurt yourself worse) or understand that the process requires flexibility and let your leg heal. That doesn’t mean your plan needs to go completely out the window, it just needs a little detour.

If you follow these steps, you’ll be on a path to a rather successful outcome. But, remember, there is no instant gratification here. This is going to be a habit-forming and life-changing experience you won’t want to rush.

A Goal a Day Pushes You Further Each Day!

“Set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning.”

Setting daily goals makes it easier to achieve your goals and “oddly” enough, boost your EGO! The more you work towards bettering yourself or getting ahead in life, the easier it gets to jump out of bed in the morning, instead of rolling around dreading opening your eyes to the thin ray of light shining through your window.

One way you can start doing this is writing down a few goals you know are important to you, and that are attainable if you put your mind to it. If the goals are monthly or yearly, pinpoint them to what you can do today, tomorrow, and for the rest of the week! It makes it easy to keep track of your goals and measure your success.

Don’t worry if you fail to reach a goal. We fall down many more times than we get up, but always get back on your feet! Course correct and evaluate how you can do better for yourself. It is better to accept what you did wrong, than to put yourself down because of it. You are great! You may just need a little push to get started.

Write down some goals today!

Shopping carts are one of the best spaces to expose your brand in a smart way.

Leadership in the Workplace

Every day in life we come across leaders, whether we gravitate to them, pass by them, watch them grow, or even work with them. What does being a leader mean? It is a word people throw around loosely when talking about people in power. Not every boss can be a leader, and not every leader is a boss.

Leaders in the Workplace:

Leaders are crucial in the workplace and very important to set the tone for everyone else. People would rather listen to someone who practices what they preach. Like right here at InMark Media, our bosses are leaders because they are able to perform all the tasks that they ask from us employees. They also raise the bar of expectations setting the tone for everyone else. This makes the workplace just that more enjoyable when it doesn’t feel like you are being told what to do. Leaders show you what to do and push you to do it to the best of your abilities.

Leading in the Workplace:

Your boss is not the only leader in your workplace. Anyone can have qualities of a leader, it doesn’t necessarily put you at the top of the food chain (but it is a great start). These are the people who show up a little bit earlier, work a little harder, and stay a little later. It can even be the person who always lends a hand when needed. These leaders are the ones that stand out and usually have good rapport around the workplace. It is crucial to have good leaders in the workplace to promote behavior beneficial to the workplace atmosphere.

Brand Recognition Through Grocery Divider Ads

Whether you’re running an existing company or attempting to get a start-up off the ground, brand recognition is an imperative to long-term success and customer loyalty. Sure, some consumers may buy your product just because they like your product. But, many of the purchasing decisions consumers make are directly relative to how they feel about a brand, its mission, and the status they receive or believe they receive, after purchasing that brand.

All of these aspects are known as your company’s brand awareness: how familiar your consumers are with what your brand stands for, the quality it produces, and the manner in which it produces. A great brand awareness helps retain and attract consistent costumers. Costumers who feel welcomed by a brand are more likely to purchase from that brand again. This turns the once product-induced purchase (which tends to be short-term, unpredictable, and inconsistent) into a brand-induced purchase (longer-term, predictable, consistent).

So, how do you build brand awareness? There are many different avenues to reach an optimal brand awareness, but one of the most important things to do, first, is understanding who and where your target market is. Many businesses overlook this crucial step which leads them to chose advertising avenues, like newspaper advertisements or commercials, that contribute very little to their bottom line or brand awareness.

Grocery dividers in local supermarkets offer an optimal solution for creating local brand awareness. Your brand is much more than your company’s logo and design. It’s the overall message you send to your consumers—including where your advertisements are located. For a local business whose target market is the local clientele, advertising in the neighborhood supermarket is the smartest avenue for brand awareness.

Here is why branding on our dividers will benefit you!

  1. It shows that you care

Costumers want to feel cared about, more than anything. They want to feel like more than just another number or sale. Grocery dividers do just that. If you’re so in tune with your target market, that you know where they are just about every week (if not more than once a week), they’re going to feel appreciated.

  1. No changing channels

Okay, so maybe you believe your local TV station is a better fit for your advertisements. Well, how are you so positive that consumers are even watching your advertisement? Or, that those consumers are in your target market? Your target market is at the supermarket, and they almost always have to wait in line, so advertising on grocery dividers creates almost guaranteed exposure.

  1. It’s only you

When you commit to advertising your business in your local supermarket with inMark media, you are given the opportunity to do so exclusively. This already sets you apart from your competitors, because you are literally the only business in your industry that your target market is going to see at least once a week during their shopping trips.

If you’re ready to take your business and brand to the next level and establish a stronger brand awareness throughout your local target market, learn more about inMark media’s supermarket advertisements here: https://inmarkmg.com/supermarkets/
